EFM: ABB TotalFlow Configuration
Configuring the ABB Totalflow Driver consists of configuring global resources, creating the device connections, verifying the generated configuration, and enabling polling - all of which are described in the following documentation. After polling begins, Application-Array-Register (AAR) data is available as standard OPC tags within Ignition Designer.
Configure Global Resources
- Navigate to Config on the left hand sidebar menu.
- Scroll down to find EFM ABB Totalflow → Settings.
- Under Settings, you will find three tabs to configure global resources: Array-Register Definitions, Totalflow Application Definitions, and EFM Mappings.

Array-Register Definitions
It is best practice to add global Array-Register Definitions before any Totalflow device connections are defined. If an Array-Register definition is added later, it needs to be added to a device connection manually. Even if device connection has the Add All Array-Register Definitions option turned on, new global Array-Register Definition will not be applied unless either added manually or device configuration is re-submitted.
- 📥 Download the Cirrus Link default Array-Register Global Definitions ZIP Folder.
For more information on INI-Backed Array-Register Definitions and Free Form Array-Register Definitions, see the Templates & Definitions page.
- Upload definitions by clicking → Create new Array-Register Definition...
- Select the desired definition file.
- Click Upload.
- Click Create New Array-Register Definition.

Totalflow Application Definitions
- 📥 Download the Cirrus Link default Totalflow Application Definitions CSV file. This is optional if using the built-in definitions.
- Upload definitions by clicking → Create new Totalflow Applications Definition...
- Select the desired definition file.
- Click Upload.
- Click Create New TotalFlow Applications Definition.

EFM Mappings
The EFM Mappings are used for publishing EFM records representing entries that are polled from a device. To upload mapping files, follow the steps below.
DEFAULT CONFIGURATION MAPPINGS
📥 Download the Cirrus Link Default Configuration Mapping CSV file
- Click → Create new Configuration Mapping...
- Select the desired mapping file.
- Click Upload to upload the mapping file.
- Click Create New Configuration Mapping.
⚠️ Note: Uploading a Periodic Mapping file under the basic Configuration Mapping tab will result in errors. Make sure to upload the correct mapping file under its corresponding tab.

PERIODIC MAPPINGS
Periodic Mapping files define how Periodic and Daily History records are mapped to database columns. They also allow individual record fields to be included or excluded. The mappings are uploaded to the Ignition Gateway as CSV files.
