MQTT Recorder Module Overview

The MQTT Recorder Module stores MQTT and Sparkplug record data received by the MQTT Engine Module in a database configured within Ignition.

As records are received, MQTT Recorder automatically creates and manages the required database tables and inserts new records into those tables. This eliminates the need to manually design database schemas for incoming MQTT data.

Records are collections of tags, fields, and key-value pairs that represent structured information from remote devices and applications. In SCADA systems, records are commonly used to store flow computer data, event logs, alarms, and historical data.

When used with MQTT Engine, MQTT Recorder provides an automated method for persisting MQTT and Sparkplug data for reporting, analysis, and long-term storage.
