Advanced Configuration

SSL Handshake Timeout​

Controls how long the server waits for an SSL handshake to complete.​

  • Default: 20000 ms (20 seconds)
  • Configuration file: <chariot_install_dir>/conf/com.cirruslink.chariot.server
  • Example (30 seconds): sslHandshakeTimeout=I"30000"

Maximum Outbound Queue Size​

Defines the maximum number of messages that can be queued for outbound delivery.​

  • Default: 16384 messages
  • Configuration file: <chariot_install_dir>/conf/com.cirruslink.chariot.server
  • Example: maxOutboundQueueSize=I"20000"

Max Heap Size​

Controls the maximum memory allocated to Chariot.​

  • Default:

    • Prior to v2.2.3: 1 GB
    • v2.2.3 and later: 2 GB

  • Configuration file: <chariot_install_dir>/yajsw/conf/wrapper.conf

  • Example (4 GB heap): wrapper.java.additional.6=-Xmx4g

⚠️ Chariot restart is required for changes to take effect.

Wrapper Log Settings​

Controls rotation and size of wrapper.log.​

  • Configuration file: <chariot_install_dir>/yajsw/conf/wrapper.conf

  • Example:

wrapper.logfile.loglevel=INFO

wrapper.logfile=${wrapper_home}/../log/wrapper.log

wrapper.logfile.format=LPDTM

wrapper.logfile.maxsize=10m

wrapper.logfile.maxfiles=10

wrapper.logfile.rollmode=SIZE

wrapper.logfile.maxdays=60

wrapper.logfile.desc=true

  • Behavior:
    • Up to ~10 log files are retained
    • Each file targets 10 MB
    • Actual size may exceed limits under heavy logging

Database Log Configuration​

Controls logging behavior for the internal database.​

  • Configuration file: com.cirruslink.chariot.persistence.h2-logging

  • Example:

tables.1.maxRows=I"262144"

  • Behavior:
    • Two tables are used for log rotation
    • When one table reaches maxRows, the other is cleared and reused
    • Logging alternates between the two tables
